The car that was driven by Thich Quang Duc, a Vietnamese monk. On June 11 1963 he drove from Hue to a busy street in Saigon. Where he left the car, sat on the ground in the lotus position and burnt himself to death in protest against the Nao Dinh Diem regime's policies discriminating against Buddhists and religious freedom.
